BIOGRAFIA

Os Shutter Down são uma banda de Rock/Hard Rock formada em dezembro de 2011.
Influenciados por Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Metallica ou Avenged Sevenfold, nos primeiros anos realizaram centenas de concertos enquanto banda de covers, aparecendo o seu nome impresso em cartazes de bares, associações, semanas académicas, concentrações motards, feiras e galas de solidariedade.
2015 foi um ano de mudança, visto sentirem a necessidade de criar temas originais e de definir uma identidade musical. Nesse ano lançaram o single/videoclip de apresentação "The Edge of Domination" (youtu.be/bU9SaAwagm4) e concorreram à plataforma de crowdfunding portuguesa PPL, com o intuito de angariar fundos para a gravação do primeiro álbum.
O quinteto viseense deslocou-se a Guimarães em 2017 onde gravou 12 temas com os produtores Bruno Silva (ex-Heavenwood, July 13) & Bruno Silva (ex-Rock Poets). O disco "Awake" foi estreado no Facebook da banda com uma performance ao vivo perante mais de 4 mil fãs a assistir em streaming. “Falling in the Dark", "Tomorrow" (youtu.be/9jnItqU8l3A), "Gone" (youtu.be/hzzXkCNSFJ8) e "The Rocky Song" (youtu.be/NiyHrpNCdJo) são alguns dos temas fortes a realçar.
Fora de Portugal, a energia dos Shutter Dows foi bem-recebida em algumas rádios, com destaque no Canadá, Brasil e Estados Unidos.
Em 2019 gravaram as malhas "Save Me" (youtu.be/tbhfSJnL8Rw) e "Sorrow" (youtu.be/Qq4T8EHjpEk) com os produtores Vasco Ramos (More Than A Thousand, Xande) e Tiago Canadas. Além de terem celebrado uma parceria com a marca espirituosa 1920, apresentaram também o seu trabalho na RTP1 (youtu.be/YB6UgNO6cgg) e efetuaram mais umas dezenas de concertos de norte a sul do país, bem como em Espanha, Holanda, França e Luxemburgo.
Presentemente, a banda é constituída por Sérgio Maia na voz, Ricardo Figueiredo "El Guitarron" na guitarra, Jorge Pinto "Bux" no baixo e André Lázaro "Bó" na bateria.
